My name is Lynne, the Director and the Coordinator of the event. I have a degree in Event Management and have been working on various events for the last 3-4 years. Being a huge Twilight fan, I decided to organise a Twilight Event as something that I would attend myself. At the time, there had never been a Twilight related event in Ireland and I knew many people who would be interested and spread the word.
The first event was on 17th October 2009 in Pacinos Cellar bar on Suffolk st. There was food, music, great conversations and ticket were on sale for the next event.
The second event was on 15th November 2009 in the Crowne Plaza hotel Northwood. This featured a table quiz competition, Q&A with Solomon Trimble, buffet lunch, autograph session with Solomon and a screening of 'Twilight' (2008). Nearly 200 people turned up with over 15 volunteers supervising the days activities.
These are not-for-profit events, we just barely cover expenses like venue hire, printing, postage, various fees, food etc. We want to keep ticket prices as low as possible.
